A highlight of interdisciplinary research and architecture
The new research center of the Ragon Institute in Boston was opened in 2025. An organically shaped building rises up on a 6,280 m² triangular site, its curved lines deliberately creating a contrast to the often angular neighboring buildings. Vertically arranged, individually shaped sunshades made of powder-coated aluminum frame the floor-to-ceiling window openings. The "POHL Tile" surface, specially developed by POHL, imitates classic stone masonry, but offers all the advantages of aluminum - lightness, formability and durability.
